Georgia gives you so many options for engagement photos. You can go with an elegant and architectural scene in Atlanta, wander through a garden, head into the mountains, or choose somewhere quiet and meaningful to your relationship.
To determine the best spot for you, start by thinking about the overall feeling you want your photos to have. Do you picture something timeless and romantic? Playful and relaxed? Outdoorsy and adventurous? Elevated and editorial?

Winter can be beautiful, too. Bare trees, elegant architecture, and more neutral scenery can create timeless images without competing for attention.
And, of course, Georgia weather likes to keep us on our toes. Try not to obsess over the forecast too far in advance! We’ll keep an eye on it as your engagement photoshoot gets closer and make a plan together if the weather looks questionable.

You don’t have to match. In fact, we’d rather you didn’t!

Most importantly, wear something that feels like you. If you never wear heels, your engagement photos probably aren’t the time to spend two hours uncomfortable in them. If your fiancé lives in jeans, there’s no rule saying they suddenly need to wear a three-piece suit.
You can also bring two outfits if you want variety. One could be a little more elevated and romantic, while the other feels casual and true to your everyday relationship.
The goal isn’t to look like different people. It’s to look like the best version of yourselves.

This might be the biggest concern we hear: “We’re awkward in front of the camera.”
The good news is you don’t need to know what you’re doing!
Your photographer should guide you through the entire engagement photoshoot without making every moment feel stiff or overly posed. We’ll give you direction when you need it, but we also leave space for the real moments in between.
You might walk together, talk, laugh, dance, or simply take a minute to be close. Those interactions help create movement and genuine emotion.
You don’t need to perform for the camera. All you need to do is be present with each other and let us handle the rest.

We’ll keep an eye on the forecast as your session approaches. Georgia weather can change quickly, so a chance of rain several days beforehand doesn’t automatically mean we need to reschedule. If the weather truly isn’t going to cooperate, we can talk through the best options together.
The exact length depends on your photographer, location, and whether you’re changing outfits or visiting more than one setting. Rather than rushing through a checklist of poses, we love allowing enough time for couples to settle in, get comfortable in front of the camera, and create a variety of natural images.
