A Muslim Nikkah and an American ceremony in Gainesville. Katie and Aadil married twice in the fall of 2025, in two settings that could not have felt more different, and both mattered. Their Nikkah took place at The Foxglove in Marietta, and their American ceremony followed at the Gainesville courthouse.

What stayed with me was the families. At both ceremonies, the people around Katie and Aadil were fully in it, present and close and proud. You could see how deeply loved and supported these two are.

Because Casey and I work as a team, we covered both ceremonies fully without rushing, and we studied the order of events ahead of time so we understood what we were watching.
